Today at sunset the people in Israel will mark the beginning the national Holocaust Remembrance Day, in memory of the 60 laks of Jews - children, women and men - who were murdered by the Natzi German regime during WWII.
This year the theme of this somber day will be “A tribute to the human spirit”, in respect and appreciation of the victims and the survivors, of these atrocities whom under dire circumstances, were able to find within themselves the strength to maintain their human dignity and values. They were able to show compassion when surrounded by cruelty, to hold onto rays of hope when while pushed into the darkness of death.
The Israeli community of Delhi, will mark the Holocaust Remembrance Day, with a special memorial ceremony and interaction – through V.C. – with Mr. Daniel Gold, a Holocaust survivor.
